Album Chart: Jonas Brothers make a splash

The Jonas Brothers [ ] top the new US album chart with their third album, "A Little Bit Longer," which sold 525,000 copies during its first workweek in stores.

According to Billboard.com, that display marks the third biggest sales hebdomad for whatever album this year, behind Lil Wayne [ ]'s "Tha Carter III" (which sold 1 million-plus copies during its number one week out) and Coldplay [ ]'s "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" (721,000).

Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers' self-titled sophomore album got a sales boost this week as well, merchandising 31,000 copies to claim the No. 10 position on The Billboard 200 record album chart. Billboard bases its flagship album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail reports.

The group's chart dominance as well extends to the Jonas Brothers-heavy Disney soundtrack "Camp Rock," which holds steady in the No. 8 position on sales of 50,000 copies, according to Billboard.

Down one snick to check in at No. 2 this hebdomad is the "Mamma Mia" soundtrack, which moved cx,000 copies. Kid Rock [ ]'s "Rock N Roll Jesus" moves up one rung to No. 3, on gross revenue of 101,000.

Miley Cyrus [ ]' "Breakout" sold 85,000 copies and slips iI spots to No. 4, while Sugarland [ ]'s "Love on the Inside" falls from No. 3 to No. 5 on sales of 67,000.

Rounding out this week's Top 10 ar "Tha Carter III" at No. 6, "Viva La Vida" at No. 7 and Rihanna [ ]'s "Good Girl Gone Bad" at No. 9.
